CEREC crowns
CEREC technology utilized CAD data captured from a high-resolution camera to take photos of the tooth, and then design and produce a crown in a single visit.
Bridges and Implants
When a person has missing teeth with healthy adjacent teeth to the space, there are three ways available to replace the missing tooth. Dental implants, fixed crowns and bridges or removable partial dentures, are all options. Dental implants act like your own natural teeth and stabilize the bone where the missing tooth/teeth once resided. Fixed crowns and bridges work to fill the space of the missing tooth/teeth similar to a bridge connecting one side of a river to another. They have been used for over 100 years, and if designed correctly, are very aesthetic and long-lasting.
Compared to dental implants, bridgework requires the removal of enamel from adjacent teeth to place the crowns. Implants offer the advantage of being solely operating, and thus do not require adjustment to adjacent teeth. Fixed bridgework also requires special cleaning underneath the bridge, as brushing and flossing alone will not get rid of plaque and bacteria under the restoration.
